The method involves producing a plastic part (12) from a plastic, and producing another plastic part (22) and a third plastic part (26) from a galvanizable plastic by two-component injection molding, where polycarbonate is used as the plastic and the galvanizable plastic is transparent or translucent. The plastic part (22) is galvanized under galvanic decoupling of the plastic part (26) from the plastic part (22) by using the plastic part (12). A cavity is exhibited by the plastic part (12), where the cavity is connected with an outer surface (20) of the plastic part (12) by an opening. An independent claim is also included for a plastic mold for an operating control element in a motor vehicle.
