<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner and a control method for the air conditioner, restraining the generation of refrigerant passing sound and splash of water due to dew condensation without conducting four-way valve operation ensuring control as much as possible in starting a compressor after the power is off. <P>SOLUTION: This air conditioner includes: a refrigerant circuit where a refrigerant discharged from a compressor 1 is circulated: a pilot type four-way valve 2 for switching a flow of the refrigerant of the refrigerant circuit; a control part 30 for controlling the four-way valve 2 and the compressor 1; and an EEPROM 31 for storing the positional information of the four-way valve 2 when shutdown occurs. The control part 30 switches the four-way valve 2 to a position corresponding to the next operation mode by operating the compressor 1 with a predetermined frequency to actuate the four-way valve 2 when the positional information on the four-way valve 2, which is read from the EEPROM 31 does not correspond to the next operation mode at the next start of the compressor 1 after the power is off. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
