PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guiding plate processing method for a light emitting-displaying apparatus by which the processing work of a desired display content can simply and easily be performed, a period of time required for the processing of the display content can be shortened, and the efficiency of the processing work can be increased. SOLUTION: A masking agent is applied on the processing surface 7a of a metal plate 7, and the masking of a protective film is performed along an etching pattern which corresponds to a linear recess section 3b and each asterisk recess section 3c and so forth of the display content 3A which is drawn on the display surface 3a of a light guiding plate 3. The processing surface 7a of the metal plate 7 which is exposed in a space between the protective films is eroded with an etching solution, and a protruding section 7A consisting of a linear protruding section 7B and each asterisk protruding section 7C and so forth are etch-processed. The metal plate 7 which has been etch-processed is pressed to the display surface 3a of the light guiding plate 3, and the linear protruding section 7B and each asterisk protruding section 7C and so forth of the protruding section 7A of the metal plate 7 are made to bite into the display surface 3a of the light guiding plate 3. Thus, the linear recess section 3b and each asterisk recess section 3c and so forth which are the display content 3A are processed for the display surface 3a of the light guiding plate 3.
