PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve distance detection accuracy in an object detector for vehicle including an image pickup device at sides of a vehicle and detecting an object existing at a side rear part by the image pickup device, by arranging a plurality of cameras in a vertical direction with a door mirror or the like to achieve a long inter-camera distance (baseline) without blocking the front view. SOLUTION: The image pickup device has the plurality of cameras installed at side parts of the vehicle with arrangement in which the cameras in the installed state are in vertical relationship with each other.
