PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner having a simple structure, capable of securely removing dust sticking to the secondary filter of a dust collection part and easy to discard the dust collecting in the collection part without soiling the hands or clothes. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes: a cleaner body 1 having a main body part 2 with a dust collection part housing room 22 in which the dust collection part 30 is fixably/removably housed, a motor-driven blower room 23 in which a motor-driven blower 24 is installed and a hose connection port 11; and an upper cover 5 for opening/closing the upper opening of the body part 2. The secondary filter 50 is disposed in a secondary filter room 40 provided on the downstream side of the dust collection room 36 of the dust collection part 30. A secondary filter driving means 60 for driving the filter 50 is provided on a downstream side of the filter 50.
