The vehicle has an internal combustion engine and an electrical machine for driving of the vehicle. A selecting element is mechanically coupled with a gear i.e. manual transmission gear, over a gear change rod or a Bowden cable. The element allows a driver to switch the gear from one gear ratio to another gear ratio, while carrying out switching procedures from the former ratio to the latter ratio by the operation of the element. The selecting element selects the operating condition in which the gear is switched to neutral position and the vehicle is electrically driven.
