<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight capable of preventing the generation of an emission line caused by a gap between a light guide plate and a reflective sheet and a liquid crystal display equipped with the backlight. <P>SOLUTION: For the backlight provided with at least a platy light guide plate 3, a light source 4 arranged at the side-face side of the light guide plate 3, a reflective sheet 2 arranged at the rear-face side of the light guide plate 3, and a reflector 1 supporting the reflective sheet 2 from the rear face and covering the light source 4 and reflecting light from the light source 4 to the light guide plate 3, the reflective sheet 2 is formed so that its end at the light source 4 side sticks out of the light guide plate 3, and at, a protuberant part 1a with one side rising up toward a reflective sheet 2 side is formed in an area of the reflector 1 opposed to a ridge line 3a of the light guide plate 3, so that no gap is formed between the reflective sheet 2 and the ridge line 3a of the light guide plate 3 by the pressurization of the protuberant part 1a at assembling the back light to prevent the generation of an emission line caused by the gap between the light guide plate 3 and the reflective sheet 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
