<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress difference of performance between readers by reading a bar code at a position where reading fails. <P>SOLUTION: A bar code for correction comprising only a fixed-width bars and fixed-width spaces is disposed in the position where reading fails, and each width of the bar code for correction is measured. A ratio between each measured width of the bar code for correction disposed in the position and each measured width of the bar code disposed in a position where reading succeeds is obtained, and the ratio and a width rank from a minimum value to a maximum value of the width are associated and are set in a width correction value storage table 6c. An average value of respective widths of the bar code to be read is calculated, the ratio associated with the width rank including the average value is selected from the width correction value storage table 6c, and measured width data are corrected based on the ratio. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
