PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side support device with sufficient convenience in use and having bucket feeling, excellent in support property and not obstructing access property. SOLUTION: The side support device 12 for the vehicular seat 16 provided on both right and left ends of a sitting part 13 provided with the sitting part 13 and a back rest part 15 has a side part 20, i.e., a plate-like cushion member; a side plate part 18 positioned below the side part; and a turning device for turning the side part 20. At least side part 20a at the automobile getting on/off port side is turned downward from a predetermined position toward to the inside of the side plate part 18a by disconnection of an ignition switch or release of a seat belt.
