OPERATION CONTROLLER FOR SNOW MELTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation controller for a snow melting device capable of detecting accurate snowfall strength and making spraying amount of water for melting snow appropriate. SOLUTION: This operation controller for the snow melting device is provided with a water spraying pipe 41 and a deep well submerged pump 51 to feed the water pumped up by the deep well submerged pump 51 into the water spraying pipe 41 and spray the water on a road surface 40 to melt the snow accumulated on the road surface 40. This operation controller is also provided with a snowfall sensor part 200 having an optical sensor 63 for counting snowflakes passing through a horizontal surface and a pump control panel 100 for controlling operation of the pump based on the number of snowflakes counted by the optical sensor.
