The insert has a mat element (10) made of plastic and inserted in a rinsing tank, where the mat element consists of a contact area at a bottom side and formed by contact elements. The contact area is provided at a distance to an upper-sided surface (11) of the mat element. Channels (14) are formed in the upper-sided surface, such that the channels guide water stepped via openings (12) in a direction of a rinsing tank base that is provided perpendicular to the level of the upper-sided surface. Cross section of the openings is smaller than the cross section of the channels.
