The system has a deflection device (1) with a rail (3) firmly connected with a part of a vehicle. A slide (4) is driven and moved in longitudinal direction of the rail. A loop-around fitting (5) is connected with the slide. A recess is formed in the rail or the vehicle part. A projection is formed in the rail or the vehicle part, where the projection is engaged into the recess in a form-fit manner when the deflection device is fastened in the vehicle. The rail and vehicle part are screwed together in a force-fit manner. An independent claim is also included for a method for fastening a deflection device for a seat belt in a vehicle.
