An air conditioner according to the invention comprises the following components: a suction panel which is formed with an air suction inlet; a filter frame which is installed on the suction panel; a filter cleaning unit which cleans the foreign object of filter, and a fixed gear which is installed on one selected from the air suction inlet, the filter frame and the filter with a mode the diameter in length direction is longer. The filter cleaning unit comprises the following components: a filter cleaning casing; a foreign object separator which is installed on the filter cleaning casing and is used for separating the foreign object of filter from the filter; a casing moving gear which is configured on the filter cleaning casing with a rotatable mode and rotates and moves along with the fixed gear; a cleaning motor which is installed on the filter cover and has a rotation shaft that is installed in a direction perpendicular with the rotation central shaft of casing moving gear; a motor gear which is connected with the rotation shaft of cleaning motor; and a bevel gear which is engaged with the motor gear and casing moving gear. Therefore the filter cleaning unit can be manufactured to be light and thin, and the filter cleaning unit and periphery structure can be miniaturized. The air conditioner according to the invention has an advantage of high usage factor of space in the air conditioner. |
