<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal complex compound exhibiting good light-emitting properties and an organic electroluminescent element comprising the same. <P>SOLUTION: The compound is represented by general formula (I). The organic electroluminescent element contains at least one of the compounds in its organic layer.
