摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift device of a vehicle for quickly restraining driving force by fail-safe control. <P>SOLUTION: This shift device includes a hydraulic frictional engaging device such as a clutch C1 and brakes B2 and B3 arranged in a power transmission passage of the vehicle and controlling motive power transmitted in its power transmission passage by changing engaging capacity and an engagement control means 102 restraining the transmission of the motive power by controlling engaging force of the engaging device in at least a part of a section up to fixing and determining a travel position from an operation starting determination of a shift lever 74 based on a shift operation position signal outputted from an operation position sensor 78, and can avoid the possibility of becoming a driving state of the vehicle different from an intention of a driver, by quickly performing reduction in the transmission of the motive power and cutoff succeeding to its reduction when performing the fail-safe control by a fail-safe control means 106. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
