POLYIMIDE RESIN SOLUTION FOR COATING, POLYIMIDE RESIN LAYER USING THE SAME, OPTICAL COMPENSATION MEMBER, POLARIZING PLATE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyimide resin solution dissolved into a solvent as the non-solvent for the support film, giving a polyimide resin layer having high birefringence and high transparency by casting the polyimide solution and, thereafter, drying the casting film, and to provide a resin solution for coating having optical characteristics of the same level or more as those of the conventional one by using materials which are industrially easily available and are inexpensive.

SOLUTION: The resin solution for coating comprises: a polyimide resin which contains bis(trimellitic monoester acid anhydride)s in a specified proportion; and a specified organic solvent.
