PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor having higher heat dissipation performance, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The reactor includes a core 1, a coil 2 wound around the core 1, a case 3 containing the core 1 having the coil 2, and a sealer sealing the case 2 containing the core 1 and coil 2. A bobbin cover for aligning the core 1 having the coil 2 in the case 3 is not present between the case 3 and coil 2. Insulation between the coil 2 and case 3 is secured using the sealer interposed between the both. This reactor has superior heat dissipation performance without using any bobbin cover.
