PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow exertion of a prescribed damping function depending on an expansion/contraction position while improving installation performance. SOLUTION: An input means 9 has a guide pipe 91 which penetrates through a valve mount 4 to come in/out thereto/therefrom along the sliding direction of a piston body 2 in a hydraulic shock absorber, a guide rod 92 which is inserted into the guide pipe 91 retractably and moves in synchronization with sliding of the piston body 2, another input part 94 which is arranged between another end of the guide rod 92 and another end of the guide pipe 91 adjacent thereto to face another control valve 6 in a bypass path, and one input part 93 which is arranged between one end of the guide rod 92 and another end of the guide pipe 91 adjacent thereto to face one control valve 5 in the bypass path.
