PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a large amount of fruit packaging tray for storing soft and easily deformable fruits such as strawberry at recesses and has small suppressing force to lifting and lowering oscillation by using a physical property for forming the recesses through plastic deformation of only pressing parts by pressing the central part of a thermoplastic synthetic resin thin sheet that is flatly forwardly/rearwardly and leftwardly/rightwardly supported using a heating body. SOLUTION: Inside a rectangular tray 1 formed of a rectangular bottom plate 2 and longitudinal and horizontal side plates 3, 3', upward projections 4 with the same height as those of the side plates 3, 3' are longitudinally and horizontally arranged at the same intervals. The thermoplastic synthetic resin thin sheet 5 is flatly laminated 4' on the upper surface of the tray 1 to be made to flatly adhere on the upper surface of the tray 1. The recess 6 for storing the fruit is formed at the center of longitudinal and horizontal adjacent upward projections 4, 4, 4, 4 by plastic deformation, and a space t is interposed between the recess 6 and the bottom plate 2. The upper edge outer side surfaces of the recesses 6 and the outer circumferential surfaces of the upward projections 4 hold the common flat surface 5a of the upper sheet 5.
