<p>Provided is a user device which communicates with a base station device that performs rank adaptation in a MIMO transmission system using precoding. The user device includes: a PMI decision unit which decides a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) with a rank reported from the base station device according to a channel state; and a transmission unit which transmits the PMI to the base station device.</p>
