PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor for obtaining a clear image by reducing noise while suppressing blur of an edge portion by a noise processing method using wavelet shrinkage. SOLUTION: This image processor 1 has: a wavelet transform part 103 applying the wavelet transform to an image; a cluster analysis processing part 104 clustering signal components based on a low-frequency component of the signal components obtained by the wavelet transform; a characteristic amount calculation part 106 calculating a statistical characteristic amount of the signal component in each cluster obtained by the cluster analysis; a coring threshold value determination part 107 determining a coring threshold value according to the characteristic amount; a coring processing part 108 using the coring threshold value determined in the coring threshold value determination part 107; and an inverse wavelet transform part 109 applying inverse wavelet transform to the cored signal component.
