PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the unevenness of density while coping with various factors such as the unevenness of density in a developing device or in an OFS optical system, for example. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus corrects the unevenness of density caused by setting a DAC output voltage 1602, a VI converter current ID 1603, and a laser current IL 1604 using a correction profile 1601 which can cope with various factors in the unevenness of density.
