PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the impact resistance and flame retardance of moldings of a polyphenylene ether-based resin. SOLUTION: A flame retardant polyphenylene ether resin composition contains 100 parts by mass of a polyphenylene ether-based resin (A), composed of 10-90 mass% polyphenylene ether and 90-10 mass% styrene-based resin, and 0.5-20 parts by mass of core-shell-type silicone resin fine particles (B) having a structure that a polymer component except silicone resin is applied on the surface of respective silicone resin fine particles, and further contains an aromatic phosphoric ester-based flame retardant (C) in an amount of 5-40 parts by mass to 100 parts by mass of the total amount of the components (A) and (B).
