<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the vicinity of a separating part of an outer semiconductor layer from becoming a weak point when the outer semiconductor layer provided on the outer circumference of a reinforced insulating layer covering the joint of a power cable is thin. <P>SOLUTION: The power cable joint has a conductor joint 6 for connecting the conductors of power cables 2 and 3, a tubular reinforced insulating layer 11 for covering near the conductor joint, an inner semiconductor layer 12 for surrounding the conductor joint on the inner circumference of the reinforced insulating layer, an outer semiconductor layer 13 formed on the outer circumference of the reinforced insulating layer 11, and a pair of stress cones 14 and 15 buried in the reinforced insulating layer 11 at least partially, wherein a semiconductive annular portion 22 for relaxing electric field near the end 13b of the outer semiconductor layer 13 is provided to surround the end 13b of the outer semiconductor layer 13 on the side of the separating part at the joint 1 of a power cable where the end 13b of the outer semiconductor layer 13 arranged on the side of the other power cable 3 is separated from the shield layer of the power cable 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
