<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the up-to-date property of information by detecting automatically that information is changed when registering a user to an information service. <P>SOLUTION: The information management system is provided with agents started up at a plurality of client PCs connected through a network. The agent authenticates another client PC from one client PC in advance, and sets desired information items to another client PC from the one client PC.
