PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner capable of holding high transfer property and a charge amount even in long-term printing and obtaining high-quality images. SOLUTION: The toner comprises a binder resin and a colorant, wherein the binder resin comprises a polyester obtained by condensation polymerization of an alcohol component and a carboxylic acid component containing a rosin compound by not less than 5 wt.% in the whole amount of the alcohol component and the carboxylic acid component, and the content of abietic acid in the toner is not more than 1 wt.%.
