PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which can prevent a variable prize winning device from being opened by an illegal outside force. SOLUTION: In a first state, the movement of a solenoid (plunger) is transmitted to open/close pieces 73 and 74 through a drive transmission member to get the open/close pieces 73 and 74 closed while in a second state, the movement of the solenoid is transmitted to the open/close pieces 73 and 74 through a drive transmission member to get the open/close pieces 73 and 74 opened. Then, in the first state, a lock member is moved to an engaging position of being engaged with the drive transmission member with the movement of the plunger. As a result, in the first state, the open/close pieces 73 and 74 are kept locked, so that even when outside force enough to move the plunger is applied on the open/close pieces 73 and 74, the open/close pieces 73 and 74 will not be moved in the direction of opening thereby eventually preventing the variable prize winning device 70 from being opened by the illegal outside force.
