PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clip device of an endoscope which makes it possible to surely and easily perform a series of operations required for opening and closing a clip by surely stopping a tightening ring at a prescribed position and blocking further forward movement when performing the operation of pushing out the clip from the inside of a flexible sheath to the front. SOLUTION: On the distal end of the flexible sheath 1, a ring backward movement stopper for inhibiting the passing of the tightening ring 18 after the tightening ring 18 passes to the front, even when the tightening ring 18 is moved backward, is provided movable in an axial direction, and also a ring forward movement stopper 4b for blocking the movement of the tightening ring 18 to the front further which has passed through the ring backward movement stopper to the front, is provided. The ring forward movement stopper 4b changes to the state of not blocking the forward movement of the tightening ring 18 by the ring backward movement stopper being pushed by the tightening ring 18 and moved to the back.
