PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road surface cleaning brush which efficiently and surely sweeps up and gathers up dust, dirt or the like and also appropriately removing them from a road surface, and to provide a road sweeper on which the road surface cleaning brush is mounted. SOLUTION: The road surface cleaning brush 1, which is mounted on a road sweeper for removing dust, dirt or the like accumulated/deposited on a road surface, includes a brush part 2 and a spindle 3. Wherein, the brush part 2 is formed on the outer circumference of the spindle 3. The brush part 2 is composed of a brushing body 4 comprising channel brushes 5 for which synthetic resin-made bristles 6 are held between a core wire 7 and a belt body 8, and of a fixing means 9 for fixing the brushing body 4 to the spindle 3.
