PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for preventing the occurrence of any delivery failure in the case of delivering reject paper money which has been left behind to a conveyance path. SOLUTION: This paper money isolation/accumulation mechanism is provided with a first pickup roller 31; a second pickup roller 32; a first paper money receiver 26; a first bill press 27; a second paper money receiver 28; and a second bill press 29. When input paper money is delivered, the input paper money is put between the first paper money receiver 26 and the first bill press 27, and moved to the first pickup roller 31 side so that the input paper money can be pressurized to the first pickup roller 31, and when reject paper money is left behind, the reject paper money is put between the second paper money receiver 28 and the second bill press 29, and moved to the second pickup roller 32 so that the reject paper money can be pressurized to the second pickup roller 32.
