<p>The present invention relates to a novel ingestible film composition. More specifically, the invention is directed to a water-based, enzymatically-digested carboxymethylcellulose (CMC-Enz) film composition that is suitable for delivering pharmaceutical drugs, vitamins, natural products and other products to humans and animals. The invention further includes a method for manufacturing the novel composition. Advantageously, the film composition can accommodate an active ingredient in a quantity of up to approximately 60% of the overall weight of the final film.</p> |
