<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective medicine for the treatment of a condition affecting the skin. <P>SOLUTION: Use of an activator of the peroxisome proliferator activator receptor gamma PPAR (gamma) in manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of a condition affecting the skin characterized by disordered fibroblast or myofibroblast function, excessive matrix production, nodular fasciitis or Dupuytren's Contracture.
