<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device capable of offering an antitheft effect in a simple configuration using a telescopic mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The steering device 20 comprises an input shaft 51; an upper housing 41 supporting the input shaft 51 in such a manner as to be rotatable and relatively immovable in the axial direction; an output shaft 52 connected to the input shaft 51; a lower housing 42 supporting the output shaft 52 in such a manner as to be rotatable and relatively immovable in the axial direction; a lock holder 53 fixed to the output shaft 52 and having a holder-side engagement portion 55b capable of engaging with a housing-side engagement portion 41b; a motor 61 for the telescopic mechanism, which relatively moves the upper housing 41 and the lower housing 42 in the axial direction; and an ECU for driving and controlling the motor 61 for the telescopic mechanism. To implement an antitheft function of a vehicle, the ECU drives and controls the motor 61 for the telescopic mechanism such that the housing-side engagement portion 41b engages with the holder-side engagement portion 55b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
