<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gaming machine which can provide novel amusement to a player, while preventing a special game from becoming monotonous, relating to the gaming machine which displays symbols in a variable display and stopped display based on a symbol row, and performs the special game. <P>SOLUTION: In a bonus game (S20, S26), a slot machine 1 associates a bonus reel band 55 made up of condor symbols 45B and feather symbols 45C with respective reel display portions (S31). Thereafter, the slot machine 1 accepts a selection operation made by the player to select one pay line (S32, S33), and displays the symbols in a variable fashion and stopped fashion based on the bonus reel band 55.
