<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for a power line adapter to operate in a power saving mode. <P>SOLUTION: The power line adapter comprises a power supply module for generating DC supply voltage, and a data transfer module for transferring data. The data transfer module includes at least a power line communication circuit and an Ethernet physical layer transceiver. The control method comprises a step of monitoring a link signal generated by the Ethernet physical layer transceiver when the power line adapter operates in an active mode, and of cutting off the DC supply voltage from the power line communication circuit to establish the power saving mode when the link signal shows first period cut-off. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
