<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet irradiation head 330 furnished with an oval reflection mirror 334. <P>SOLUTION: The ultraviolet irradiation head has: the oval reflection mirror 334 which has a pair of end parts on a line extending in a short axis direction passing through one focal point f2 and an oval arc cross section including the other focal point f2; a discharge tube 332 disposed at the other focal point f1; and a condenser lens 336 having an incident side focal point f3 at the one focal point f2.
