<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensively producible pillared food container provided with sufficient heat insulating property and drop impact resistance. <P>SOLUTION: A blank sheet 10 is tubularly rolled to form a side wall part 70. A pillar shaped part 20 is injection molded between both of the opposing side edges of the sheet 10. The second pillar shaped part 30 roughly in the same shape and size as the part 20 is formed on the opposing side of the part 20. A bottom part 40 is injection molded wholly on the bottom end opening part of the sheet 10. A bottom rim 41 is formed on the part 40. A frame part 50 is injection molded on the top end peripheral edge of the sheet 10. A flange part 51 is formed on the peripheral edge of the part 50. A stepped part 60 is formed from roughly one third the height from the bottom of the part 20 and the part 30 to the bottom part 40. The blank sheet is provided with a foamed resin layer.
