PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing machine which is excellent in the putting in/taking out of clothes, and visibility of displays. SOLUTION: The front surface of a washing machine cabinet 51 has a curved surface having a protuberance-like cross section on the front side of the washing machine cabinet 51. An operation display panel 57 is formed into a shape having a protruding cross section, and is arranged above a throw-in port 58. The attaching angle of the operation display panel 57 is made an inclination being more than 0°and less than 45°. Therefore, the operation display panel 57 can be arranged at the front upper section of the product, and the visibility of the display of the operation display panel 57 and the operability of a switch are improved. Also, the diameter of a door can be made larger, and the door position can be arranged on the upper side, and therefore, the usability has been improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
