The invention relates to an improved power train for a wind turbine having a tower (11) and a supporting structure (41), including: a rotor hub (13); a main shaft (21) supported by a front bearing (43) and a rear bearing (45); a generator (31) located on the side opposite the rotor hub (13) in relation to the tower (11); a generator shaft (23) securely connected to the main shaft (21); and a coupling element (39) which is disposed between the generator housing (33) and the supporting structure (41) and located in a plane that substantially matches a plane perpendicular (Y-Z) to the axis (X) of the main shaft (21) at the centre of the rear bearing (45), said element being configured to enable the generator housing (33) to move in the direction of the axis (X) of the main shaft (21), but to prevent said housing (33) from rotating in respect of said axis (X). |
