#CMT# #/CMT# The device has a power source with capacitors (3) interconnected to a delay line (2) with inductors (4), where capacitance of the capacitors increases by increasing the distance of a xenon gas discharge lamp (1) and/or inductance of the inductors decreases by increasing the distance of the gas discharge lamp. The delay line is attached to the gas discharge lamp over a switching element e.g. MOSFET, where the gas discharge lamp possesses an ignition device.
