BATTERY PACK AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack which has both high dimensional precision and high mechanical strength and in which safety during abnormal time is also secured after achieving reduction in size and weight. SOLUTION: The battery pack includes: a battery in which a battery element formed by winding or laminating a positive electrode and a negative electrode via a separator is packaged with a packaging body; a protection circuit board of the battery; and a sheath material for integrally covering the battery and the protection circuit board. At part of the sheath material, a cleavable part is installed which is cleaved by gas generated from the battery during the abnormal time to form a gas discharge port for discharging the gas outside the battery pack.
