PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic carrier as a resin-coated carrier containing conductive particulates within a resin coating layer which brings a proper effect as a development electrode for a long time, suppresses an edge effect, and obtains the high reproducibility of a fine line. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic carrier is provided with the resin coating layer containing the conductive particulates on magnetic material particles. A cross section of the resin coating layer has an average porosity of 1-20%. In the electrophotographic carrier, the resin for composing the resin coating layer preferably comprises an acrylic resin.
