PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens attaching structure that ensures versatility and suppress the work load and manufacturing cost even when the design flexibility about the irradiation angle of a laser beam is increased, and can easily attach or detach the lens. SOLUTION: The lens attaching structure includes a pair of supporting sections that are arranged in the main scanning direction in a housing and have a common shape, and a lens holder. The pair of supporting sections have a cylindrical surface formed about a shaft extending in the main scanning direction, and a screw hole extending from the cylindrical surface toward the shaft. The lens holder has a pair of arm sections with a curved region having a curvature corresponding to the cylindrical surface at both longitudinal ends. The curved region of each arm section has a slit that extends along its circumference and where the length of the direction perpendicular to the circumference direction is substantially the same as the diameter of the screw hole. The screw is screwed with the screw hole via the slit while each arm section abuts on the cylindrical surface, thereby attaching the lens to the housing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
