PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical injection molding machine which can securely prevent a grease of a ball screw mechanism from scattering. SOLUTION: The ball screw mechanism 10 for driving an injection screw 6 of a vertical injection molding machine 1 includes a ball screw shaft 11 which is interposed between a fixed plate 5 and a movable plate 7 and has one end supported rotatably on the fixed plate 5, a ball nut 12 which is screwed into the other end side of the ball screw shaft 11 and fixed to the movable plate 7, and a driven pulley 13 which is coaxially fixed to the ball screw shaft 11 between the fixed plate 5 and the movable plate 7 and rotates while interlocking with a servo motor. In addition, an oil pan 20 is installed on the ball screw shaft 11 in such a state that the oil pan 20 is rotatably inserted via an oil seal 21 at a position between the ball nut 12 and the driven pulley 13.
