A method for illuminating the surroundings of a display, such as an electronic display, by a light-source element (14), comprising the steps of : performing a measurement on the ambient light with a sensor element (10), deriving light characterisitcs of said ambient light from said meausurement, deriving an output for said light-source element by applying said derived light characteristics to a light-source adjustment model, and applying said light-source element to produce said output. |
