The valve has an armature (5) that is movable against a closing direction by a flow of a solenoid coil (7) of an electromagnet. A valve chamber (17) is subdivided into an inlet chamber (38) close to a valve seat (19) and a settling chamber (39) remote to the valve seat. A baffle plate (37) includes an end-to-end central opening (40), by which a pressurized valve lifter (10) is projected to a closing member (18) with a radial clearance. A flow opening (26) is connected with the settling chamber. A connecting opening is arranged in the baffle plate.
