<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer unit capable of preventing the scattering of toner when a toner container is attached and detached. <P>SOLUTION: The intermediate transfer unit 50 is arranged in between a plurality of toner containers 12c and 12d and a plurality of developing devices arranged below the plurality of toner containers 12c and 12d, secondarily transfers toner images primarily transferred from a plurality of image carriers to paper. In the intermediate transfer unit 50, formed with toner inlet ports 51 for receiving toner from the respective toner containers 12c and 12d, toner outlet ports 52 for discharging the toner received from the toner inlet ports 51 toward the respective developing devices, and toner conveying paths 53 connecting the toner inlet ports 51 and the toner outlet ports 52, inlet port shutters 55 are provided for opening and closing the respective toner inlet ports 51 in conjunction with the attachment and detachment operations of the respective toner containers 12c and 12d. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
