PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material with a high electron coupling property having a function as an electron transporting material for a blue electroluminescent material. SOLUTION: A polymer includes optionally substituted first repeat units of formula (I), wherein Ar is selected from (a) an aromatic hydrocarbon substituted with at least one electron withdrawing group or (b) an electron withdrawing heteroaryl, is provided.
