摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a core in a rotor with a permanent magnet which can satisfy both sustention of strength of a die and positional precision of slot while suppressing decrease of torque, and to provide a core. SOLUTION: Portions 40 of slot formation regions in a steel plate corresponding to the central part of a permanent magnet are punched simultaneously for all slot formation regions (central part punching process). Subsequently, portions 50 of slot formation regions in a steel plate corresponding to the opposite ends of a permanent magnet are punched simultaneously for all slot formation regions (opposite ends punching process). The portion 40 punched in the central part punching process partially overlaps the portion 50 punched in the opposite ends punching process, and has a width wider than that of the portion 50 punched in the opposite ends punching process in the direction Y intersecting the extending direction X of slot perpendicularly, and the width W4 at a portion 40b not overlapping the portion 50 punched in the opposite ends punching process is narrower than the width W3 at the overlapping portion 40a.
