PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a relationship between a plurality of pieces of data such as documents. SOLUTION: When two pieces of document data in which a relationship between them is clear are inputted, a document feature information extraction part 5 extracts feature information from respective pieces of the document data. A determination data creation part 6 creates determination data wherein the feature information of the respective pieces of the document data is associated with relation information on the presence/absence of the relation between the respective pieces of the document data. When two pieces of document data in which the relationship between them is not clear are inputted, a sorting processing part 7 generates sorting target data including feature information on the pieces of document data. The sorting processing part 7 collates the sorting target information and the determination data and when the combination of the feature information shown by the sorting target data completely matches with that included in the determination data, determines that the relationship between the two pieces of document data which the sorting target data correspond to is shown by the information on the presence/absence of the relation included in the collated determination data.
